Winding its way through the gorgeous surrounds of the Meander Forest Reserve, this full day walk will take you away from the region’s more popular areas, deep into the heart of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area under the Great Western Tiers.
The 4.5-6 hour return walk through the reserve will reward with a spectacular view of the Meander Falls and a fantastic spot to enjoy a quiet picnic lunch.
Visitors to Meander Falls are advised to wear sturdy walking shoes or boots, sun hat, sun block, raincoat, woolen jumper or fibrepile jacket, warm hat and gloves and waterproof trousers depending on the conditions of the day. Thermal leggings and shorts are better than long cotton trousers or jeans. Visitors are also advised to carry some lunch, water and a map, and to note that the track may be covered with ice and snow during the winter months. Pets, firearms and bicycles are not permitted.
There is a bush toilet and shelter located at the carpark.
