Visit the beautiful lion sculpture and information map in cast aluminium that has been set near the western entrance to Deloraine.
The project was developed by the Lions Club of Deloraine with the assistance of artist, John parish. the site offers a panoramic view of the Great Western Tiers and is a regular stop off point for many tourists and a popular spot for photographers.
The sculpture was made from one block of polystyrene and then cast in aluminium in three sections and welded together. the map was cast in seven sections in a mobile foundry set up in a member's shed.
