There is something for everyone at AGFEST, from farm machinery displays and fine Tasmanian foods, to craft pavilions and fashion parades. Each May, Carrick plays host to AGFEST, one of Australia’s biggest agricultural field days. The three-day event is staged by the Rural Youth Organisation of Tasmania and is held at Quercus Rural Youth Park on Oaks Road between Carrick and Bracknell.
From relatively humble beginnings, the event now attracts around 700 exhibitors and over 75,000 visitors each year, and is considered to be one of the state’s premier events.
