Ulverstone River Retreat - Ulverstone -TASMANIA

Ulverstone River Retreat is very focused on conserving the surrounding beauty for generations to come. Both buildings have double-glazed windows positioned to maximize the winter sun. They are built on energy conserving concrete slabs with above standard insulation in walls and ceilings. Combined with heat pumps and panel heating, the apartments are kept to a comfortable temperature using minimal energy. All water used is rainwater collected on site (bottled drinking water is provided). Grey and black water is treated on site and used for irrigation the required 150 metres from the river. Recycling bins are provided including food scrap bins for composting.
