Stage 2: SHEFFIELD - CHUDLEIGH

Date: Saturday 22nd February, 2025

A scenic ride through Meander Valley’s picturesque red dirt, rolling hills and some steep climbs to take riders over 1,800m of climbing for the day.

Heading east from Sheffield, the loop takes riders around a lumpy circuit, perfect for keen break away riders to try their luck.

Start Location: High St, Sheffield

Participation Start /Finish: 8:00am / 11:30am-12:30pm

Women’s Start /Finish: 7:30am / 10:35am

Men’s Start /Finish: 11:15am / 2:00pm

Stage 4: DELORAINE to HIGHLAND LAKES

Date: Sunday 23rd February, 2025

The overall tour winner could be decided on the grueling hilltop finish in Tasmania’s Great Lakes. Who’s got the strongest legs to take the Tour of Tas Crown?

A fast and furious first 50km around Deloraine and Meander’s picturesque hills, before hitting the Golden Valley Climb, sets the stage for a thrilling hilltop finish.

Start Location: Racecourse Dr, Deloraine

Participation Start /Finish: 8:45am / 10:15am-11:30am

Women’s Start /Finish: 9:00am / 11:45am

Men’s Start /Finish: 1:30pm / 3:45pm

Finish Location: Highland Lakes Rd, Liffey


The tour showcases picturesque Tasmanian terrain with sweeping plains, epic climbs and coastal courses.

The Tour of Tasmania is a tour that challenges Australia’s most promising young riders and sets the stage for the Summer of Cycling.

2018 saw the introduction of the women’s stage race in a push to develop professional female racing within the Australian cycling community.

The hallowed turf of Tasmania has propelled many a young rider into the international field and onto a shining career in the sport.

Previous winners of the Tour of Tasmania include Cadel Evans, Richie Porte, Jack Haig, Nathan Haas, Justine Barrow, Cameron Meyer and many others.

After a COVID hiatus, the Spirit of Tasmania Cycling Tour is back stronger than ever.

An action-packed five stages across the northern half of the state will evoke exciting racing and have the GC battle firing on all cylinders.
