Provelo Spirit of Tasmania Cycling Community Participation Rides

Join us in this year’s Spirit of Tasmania Cycling Tour featuring four new rides that are open to everyone.

The participation rides follow the same route as the professionals, offering a few epic climbs and the chance to challenge yourself and race the clock.

Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or looking for a fun day out, there’s a ride for all to enjoy. We hope to see you out there!

Participation ride 2

SAT 22nd FEB - Sheffield-Chudleigh

A scenic ride through Meander Valley’s picturesque red dirt, rolling hills and some steep climbs to take riders over 1,800m of climbing for the day. 

Offering an exciting challenge for all riders (men and women), this route is sure to break up the peloton and create a gripping breakaway to fight out the stage win. All with excellent viewing opportunities for spectators to watch the action.

Date: Saturday 22nd February 2025 from 7:30am

Start Location: High St, Sheffield

Participation Start/Finish Est. Time: 8:00am / 11:30am-12:30pm

SUN 23rd FEB - Deloraine to Highland lakes

The overall tour winner could be decided on the grueling hilltop finish in Tasmania’s Great Lakes. Who’s got the strongest legs to take the Tour of Tas Crown?

A fast and furious first 50km around Deloraine and Meander’s picturesque hills, before hitting the Golden Valley Climb, sets the stage for a thrilling hilltop finish.

Date: Sunday 23rd February, 2025

Start Location: Racecourse Drive, Deloraine

Participation Start /Finish: 8:45am / 10:15am - 11:30am

Finish Location: Highland Lakes Rd, Liffey.
