Shakespeare By Night

The Deloraine Dramatic Society presents Shakespeare By Night, an immersive and transformative theatre experience delivering original performances of selected Shakespearean soliloquies by participants drawn from across the local community, all ages and all inclusive.

The performance dates are the culmination of week-long workshop sessions with participants under the teaching direction of Grace Smibert and Isabella Debbage, both currently based in NSW. Grace grew up near Deloraine and her passion for theatre was ignited through participating in the Deloraine Dramatic Society’s annual Youth Drama Festival, which has been fostering theatre for school aged children for nearly 80 years.

SBN partnering with DDS for this wonderful community event, following on from our highly successful initial collaboration in 2020, continues strengthening the legacy of the theatre in Deloraine and across Tasmania.
