Tasmanian Boer Goat Championships

More than 40 entries have been received for this Sunday's Tasmanian Boer Goat Championships!

The fifth instalment of the event presents as a high quality showcase of boer goat stud stock in Tasmania.

Showing commences from 9am at the Deloraine Showground (Meander Pavilion) under judge Marie Barnes (NSW).

Following the upcoming 5th annual Tasmanian Boer Goat Championships, Championships judge and renowned industry expert, Marie Barnes, will be hosting a breeders’ workshop specifically focusing on the commercial meat goat sector.

In an event not to be missed, the workshop will address points critical to successful meat goat breeding including the boer goat breed standard, nutrition and husbandry.

Strictly limited to 20 attendees, the workshop will be fully catered with refreshments and a chevon (goat meat) barbecue dinner. Workshop registration here.

The event presents as a never before seen opportunity for Tasmanian goat owners and primary producers to learn from one of Australia’s most decorated and successful boer goat breeders.
